UPDATE: Innocent Born Guilty mixtape

Good news and bad news. Bad news is, EL BENTLY 448’s debut mixtape “Innocent Born Guilty” is being delayed for legal reasons. The good news is, those legal reasons are positive. 448 — whose real name is Leon Benson — is finally working with a stellar legal team to help get him exonerated. Benson has been incarcerated in Indiana since 1999 for a murder he did not commit. More from Leon below.

I have a major update on the pending release of my upcoming project with Die Jim Crow Records, INNOCENT BORN GUILTY.

Originally, we planned to drop the album in Fall 2021. However, major developments in my legal efforts have led to a delay in the release. My innocence case is now being handled by an amazing team of attorneys, and because of the sensitive nature of the case, they have advised that we hold off on releasing new material while they prepare me — by the grace of Yah — to walk out of these prison gates as free man.

This delay is a win-win. The quicker I'm exonerated, the quicker I can debut my album with an exclusive live performance... perhaps at Time Square or The House of Blues? Or whatever venue that will have me... :)
