More on Maserati-E:

Oakland born and bred, Maserati-E was incarcerated at the age of 17. While in prison, he taught himself to play to guitar and music became a way to confront his old habits, be vulnerable with himself, and grow through art.

During the last few years of his incarceration, Maserati-E's music was featured on Ear Hustle, an award-winning podcast focused on illuminating the realities of prison life and creativity behind bars. He also contributed his unique voice and stellar sound to producer David Jassy's "San Quentin Mixtape Vol. 1," which also featured J. Cole, Common, Meek mill, Talib Kewli, among others and was released to critical acclaim.

Released in August of 2019, Maserati-E's catchy and conscious-driven music has been featured in the Netflix documentary "Q-Ball," NPR, Rolling Stone, and PLUS ONE Society, among others. His soul-searching debut EP "Just Me and My Guitar" is available now on all streaming platforms.
